Monthly subscriptions can only be paid with a debit / credit card, and can be managed in your subscription settings, here.
However, if you do want to use Paypal, this can still be used to purchase the 12 month memberships which work out cheaper over the course of a year. Just click 'Pay with PayPal' at checkout.
